Research Description

Maureen Sartor has recently published a new statistical method for testing for differentially expressed genes in microarrays using a hierarchical empirical Bayesian model. Her current work is focused on further methods for analyzing microarray data, specifically more powerful tests for discovery key biological pathways affected in microarray experiments and additional tests for differential expression using splines within hierarchical Bayesian models.
